The centaur represents our primal, animal instinct and because he is spiritual being he also represents the subconscious. Pallas, the daughter of Triton, represents elevated conscientiousness. She controls animal desire and, having autonomy in the spiritual world, she opens the path to unconscious impulses. In a Reading She represents the need to control one’s animal nature. In her position as the 11th card just after the the Wheel, she can also be the potency needed to affect change. She can represent rebirth, begging to feel or the need for more effective communication. This card may be an admonishment, a warning to take control of your own emotions and actions before you hurt yourself, the people you care about or damage your standing at work.
